City advises of water supply disruption to parts of Kuils River

18 November 2020

Water supply will be disrupted in the areas of Jagtershof, St Dumas, Silver Oaks, Eikenbosch, Hunter’s Creek, Vredelust and Langverwacht in Kuils River on Thursday, 19 November 2020 from 09:00 until 17:00 to allow for urgent works on the 200mm diameter water supply pipeline feeding the area.

The work involves the relocation of a fire hydrant to facilitate a Transport for Cape Town project in the area. The work will result in residents in these areas experiencing low water pressure or no water during this period.

Residents are advised to store water upfront in clean and sealed containers for domestic use during this period. Residents are also requested to keep their taps closed during this period to prevent any water loss or damage when the water supply is restored

A water tanker will be roaming through these areas to provide water for domestic consumption where required.

The City regrets any inconvenience caused, but it is imperative that it enhances its infrastructure where required to sustain the provision of good quality drinking water to its consumers.
